Hello all:
So, it's about time for another little blog.
I hope you had a nice summer, and perhaps had a nice holiday trip.
We kept it a bit quiet during the holiday season. Of course, I have had some nice gigs behind me, from concerts in Switzerland to fine gigs on beautiful river cruise ships, the latter happening more often now, in December I am performing on several ships, not only in the Netherlands, but also in Germany and Belgium.
December is going to be a wonderful month anyway.
I've told you before about the André Rieu program, a show I present together with Christoph Alexander (vocals, piano) and Janusz Bulka (violinist).
Performances with this program take place exclusively in Germany, but we have managed to present our show for the first time in the Netherlands, in the small town of Baak in Gelderland. On Sunday afternoon, 15 December, you can enjoy a wonderful musical show, full of music in the style of André Rieu. On the attached poster you can see where tickets can be ordered.
I am also very much looking forward to a new program which I will present together with variety entertainer Martijn Martell. On 11 December, our program ‘Music & Magic’ will premiere in the beautiful town of Dwingeloo.
Well, as you may know, my girlfriend Annemieke and I have gained a new family member in the form of a lovely, somewhat naughty, sweet little dog.
Maya has grown considerably, and it shows in both photos.
Next year is going to be a very good year too, when I will celebrate 30 years of playing for the Böhm company. I walked into the German firm in 1995 and have never left. We're going to celebrate big, with lots of nice surprises that I'm not allowed to tell too much about right now.
Talking about the firm, I am playing in Nienstädt on 5,6 and 7 December, together with my dear colleagues.
It's going to be particularly enjoyable, and of course the first Christmas-tinged sounds will be heard. If you are in the area, you are of course very welcome.
Dear people, Annemieke and I would like to wish you all happy holidays.
Until the next blog.
