On my way to 2010 !!
That was it !! The last concert of 2009 !
It was a strange year this year. Career wise it was really fantastic. So many great comments about the new album and many wonderful concerts and venues. I have also met many new friends.
But 2009 was not all sunshine. The loss of our Kath has had a great impact on my life. This lady (and of course her husband Tom) was like my 2nd mam and we all still miss her very much.
On my way to 2010 now. Lots of bookings already. It all looks very good. In January I will be in Denmark to record my new cd, which I am looking forward to.
A big thank you to Tom, Kath, Mam,Sue, Jean and George for their enourmous support and help. Without these people there was no Dirk in Concert.
May I wish you all a fab Christmas and a very happy and healthy new year !!

Sad times
Dear Friends:
Unfortunately, this time the news I have is not very good.
After many years of working together, travelling together, sharing good and bad times together, our dear Kath Penn has died very sudden.
Kath meant the world to me. She did not only do the Fan Club, but also arranged bookings, worked with me on our Festivals in Bournemouth and , of course, together with her husband Tom she travelled with me across the whole of the UK.
I was based at Tom and Kath's house for many years and I have the most fantastic memories, those memories will live on forever.
I have moved back to Holland, but still will be playing concerts in the UK.
Together with my former Agent Ben Sierhuis we are working on a 'Come Back' in Holland.

Dirk's 'One Night Only' Euro Tour 2010
At this very moment, Dirk is planning his new tour for 2010.
The name of the Euro Tour is 'One Night Only Tour 2010',
'One Night Only' is a brand new song in Dirk's programme for next year and as many fans know, Dirk always gives his Concert-Tours a title. Many contracts have already been signed for next year and there are plans for a brand new cd-album and a new DVD are there as well.

It was a fantastic evening ! Illumination Evening in Bergen, a small town in the North of Holland. Wednesday 5th August ,Dirk played on stage on the Hotel Marijke terrace.
Bergen's Illumination Evening is a very popular event every year, and it easily attracts around the 20.000 people.
Dirk played his heart out and thousands of people enjoyed his open air concert.
Many thanks to the fans who came from everywhere.
Also a big thank you to the Hotel Marijke for their hospitality.
